SABA parking advice

I haven’t actually had my fine yet though I’m fully anticipating it...
I parked at Bedford to go to Luton airport and asked someone at the car park how I paid - they said on return for all stays.
I saw the sign for contactless parking and assumed this was for people who didn’t have cash on them and stupidly I took the verbal advice on face value and left it to pay when I got back.
I was on the Thames Link website a few hours later because I had this niggling feeling something wasn’t right and noticed it said to pay on arrival. I called SABA on numerous occasions to find out what I needed to do with no answer and then emailed them - it’s taken 4 days for a response. I ended up just paying on the app anyway.0
I also paid again at the machine when I got back.
My question is, can I request a copy of photos of all signage because I don’t recall it being made clear that you could pay on the machines on return ONLY if it was on the same day.
As I actually did pay (twice), can I ask them to reduce the fine by this amount?
Basically, I know I messed up, but these companies are corrupt, robbing you know what’s and I don’t want to give them my money!!!

Stop panicking and stop contacting them. Wait and see if you get anything. Saba are one of the easiest companies to beat. Second only to Highview.
If you do get a ticket come back as you won't need to pay it if you follow the advice here.0 -
Assuming railway byelaws apply at the car park, the keeper cannot be held liable, but the driver can and the owner may be liable.
I hope you didn't give the driver's identity when you rang up.
If you get a PCN, and byelaws apply, then either ignore it or appeal using the template in blue from post 1 of the NEWBIES then play Q & A ping pong until it times out after six months.I married my cousin. Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Yes - as the others said, don't panic or do anything else now until you find out what they do. Then follow the forum advice. They are unlikely to accept any of your explanations, they certainly haven't with me in the past.
If you can string it out past 6 months they won't have a leg to stand on.
