I agree with you, but Le Creuset ovel cocotes also have riged lids and the same effect. Older Le Creuet ones (and specially Le Creuset/Cousances) had smooth inner lids.

The offer is def for the cast iron ones, mine went through until I had cancelled. I only wanted two as already have Le Crueset and thought if I sold the others I could pay for the two I wanted.

Having looked on ebay though, decided it wasn't worth the risk of ending up with the house of cast iron

It says in the middle of the page in the product description that this is stoneware.

The Chasseur ones are cast iron and state so on the page.

The Le Creuset one is ceramic and states this on the page (which is from your link).

I don't think the ceramic ones are a good buy at this price.
