There is another offer available on Amazon. I have just ordered the freebie water filter and on the same page was this offer:- You have to choose 3 in the same colour range. Excellent value.

How do these compare with Le Creuset though, are they of the same high quality?

  • Oh my goodness. I got so excited because I thought they were le crueset that I ordered 6. Then I realised 58 minutes later that they were not and had a bit of trouble cancelling them - they had already been processed.

If you are not partic to le crueset they are as good quality and a bargain

I did exactly the same thing, only I ordered a set of 3, not 6, but having looked around at reviews on other sites and compared prices elsewhere it does appear to be a genuine bargain and people do seem rate them as highly as Le Crueset, so we should be ok :D

There's very little difference in terms of quality between the two brands - both are made to exacting standards.

If anything, the Chasseur range is better presented (white/silver boxes with tags attached with a baby blue satin ribbon :D ). Chasseur cocottes also come with "self-basting" ridged lids whereas Le Creuset lids are smooth - the idea is that steam condenses on the ridges and then drips back onto the roast, keeping it moist.

Every bit as good as Le Creuset!

I am a hardcore Le Creuset fan, but was lucky enough to get hold of a f ew Chasseur pots with last years Amazon CLEARANCE. I have kept a 31cm oval pot and a 22cm round one and all I can say that they are absolutely fantastic.... dare I say better than Le Creuset. They cook exactly the same way as Le Creuset, but are a lot easier to clean. To be honest though even though Chasseur pots look very similar to Le Creuset ones, I do prefer the looks of Le Creuset a bit more.
Even though they are a very good price (3 for £100), it is not worth it buying and reselling on ebay. If howver they are for your own personal use, I would say that it is a very good bargain and that you will be very happy with them. Hope this helps
