Hope this helps someone - have had one of these for 11 years and it is so useful can be used in oven or hob and great on a Rayburn. Have bought one as such a fantastic price.

Not sure i'll actually use it *that* much, since i dont have that many recipies for one (yet), but from all accounts they last years, so it's a good investment!

I'd have to defer to the experts on the moneysaving old style board for that:o- had a quick look and they seem to be using it like a slow cooker because its so thick- but I use mine for all sorts of casseroles and stews. It is great for taking out of the oven then onto the table- or you can use it to brown meat onthe hob and then put it in the oven. It just looks so classy:D
