  • hey mumzy

just found out am getting teramundi for xmas so I would like to start (currently save all my loose change but keep dipping into it so I need something i wont break into until the end of next year).

Please give me a number and I will aim for £500.

I dont think i will have any idea how much will be in it until the end and will only post any significant notes or unexpected larger amount which will go in but will read everyone else for inspiration!!

    Thanks

Evening all, I have just added a few 2 pound coins to my pot so the total is beginning to rise.

Cook the turkey well and don't overcook the sprouts this year :rotfl:

Here is a  to wish you all well.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post

    Hi All!

I have decided that I am going to put all my £2 coins into the pot, plus all my 20ps (but that is going to start in the New Year!!).

I've already made a start with the £2 coins, and my aim for the year will be £300. At £25/month, I think (hope...!) that this is a conservative estimate, but I'd rather be conservative and get a pleasant surprise, than over-estimate my ability and be disappointed in the long run...

Hi Mumzy, sorry to be an absolute pest and I hope you are feeling OK, but is there any chance you could copy the above list and edit/paste it into your post 1 so it's easy to check? Please, please, I keep losing it and am not allowed the link in my sig. Thank you :)

    Hi all!

I didn't join this at first, as I never have much change (Switch for everything these days!), but I got an early Xmas present the other day - it's a jar with an electronic counter in the lid, so whenever you put a coin in it, it tells you the total contents. Maybe someone else has mentioned it here before - if so, sorry, but haven't time to read all 49 pages!

Such a lame gimmick, but I absolutely love it! So if I'm not too late, and if the fact that it isn't properly sealed (I've taped it up so it can't be opened without cutting the tape off), and that it counts the amount for me doesn't count as cheating, can I please join?! I never have much change, but hoping I can add a couple of hundred quid to it over the year.

There's £1.21 in it so far!
  • panda i saw one of those in work and they looked so cool ~ resisted temptation though :rotfl:

It is! Anyone looking for one can try Makro (think they were £8.99 +vat there) or TK Maxx (£7.99) - mine was from a friend who was in TKM with me when I saw it, but I refused to buy it for myself as I'm trying not to spend unnecessary money, so she bought it for me for Xmas!

I know as well that DH has got me one of those coin sorters for my Xmas, as I found the Makro receipt in his wallet (was looking for something else with his permission! Haven't let on that I know - he got a bargain, £9.99!). Think I've maybe been talking about money a bit too much this year!
