Well i've painted the 8 piggies - they haven;t turned out as good as last year (well so far anyway) have to wait for them to dry before giving them another coat!!!! Spot is getting heavier so hopefully there will be more £££ to change into $$$$0

Im getting excited as third tin nearly full. Interested to read that someone bought a large tin from Woolworths for £2. May get one of these to save storing and opening three tins. Just hope I meet my target of £100. OH got into the spirit of things and keeps leaving change on worktop just to show me he is helping. Did think of opening them before 17th November when Asda will be paying 4% on savings (Martins latest email) but would rather put cash into clubcard plus account as we are saving all our coupons. We take our cash to change machine but it costs us 7% which I dont mind as it goes to charity, but if we could get it changed for free I would be tempted.0

Hi mummy2mygirls, a warm welcome to the thread, though a word to the wise as..... we aren't all ladies!!!!! I know it may appear that way at times :rotfl:but sparky and stunty are ALL man! Well....they SAY they are! (Only having a laugh fellars)
It's good to have you joining us. As you now realise we're opening our pots up on the 1st Dec, but you can still come and chat to us til then, no reason not to. Then, as you know we start again with the new thread on the 2nd Dec and I'll be happy to give you your very own number then. It's entirely up to you whether you check how much you're putting in or if you just wait till the end for a (hopefully) nice surprise. Most of us do the latter and hope for the best, but there are no rules. Why not grab a pot, jar anything and have a dummy run for the remaining couple of weeks, you may be surprised at what yoiu get!!!
Hiya sparky! Well done on that 9p - I hope you didn't wrestle with the kiddies for it!!I wouldn't have thought your puter not having any office programmes on it would have made any difference, as with a lot of mobiles you can access Forums - can't you?? If so they have no office programmes.
What is it XP or....?
getting-sorted-sarah wrote:I raided my jar for spending money for our (clubcard deals funded!) holiday in France this September - I was thrilled to have £250! Then I glued the lid back on and I have around about £90 in it again - woo hoo! Not sure what to spend it on, want to make sure it goes on something particular (like the hol) rather than just getting swallowed...
That is amazing with BOTH amounts sarah!!!!! Very well done!!! :T I hope you had a great holiday and that with your £90 you wait until you know for sure what best to spend it on.
Hi Surfbabe, I hope that by now your little homemade treasures are more like pork than paper!!! Still, you can always re-use Spot after his op!!!
Oh, it's so good when OH's get into the spirit of sabing for the pots too irishwexford, my hubby does doubley so.....but he only knows about the half!!! :rolleyes:Why not take your cash to the bank as it's free to change there?
Put 56p in today. The closer it gets the less I'm managing to put in.

Morning all. Not too many pennies in my terramundi this week. And my ISA interest has tumbled 1.5% so need to move it somewhere - maybe fixed term.
Wonder if it's a signal from the powers that be to blow the money on my trip to Paris?!?!?!:eek::eek:
Well, hope everyone's had a good weekend. Dull and grey here again, for the 3rd week in a row.:rolleyes:Save me from spending...

LC, sorry it's dull & grey in London. You'll have to move to the North West, where we've got brilliant sunshine today and I've got a lineful of washing drying nicely.
Sue, I'm doing the opposite to you, I seem to be putting more in the pot, the closer it gets. Still, 56p isn't bad you know. Look at it this way, it's more than you had before:)Sealed Pot challenge #59SPC5 total £473.600 -
literally haven't been on this thread since Jan, but have been saving and have had to open my pot ....*drumroll*
I had a grand total of £346.59p !!!!!! Well above my expectations.
If my OH has given me money back I lent him then I've put it in the pot to save spending it (if its in the purse it will get spent but thats prob only £50 worth!) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO pleased! I thought I had about £120 in there, so was really suprisedI did put notes in when I had them
Thanks to the OP
way to go jamtart:T:T:T
Hmmm! I should consider moving up north - it's always sunshine when we visit the inlaws in ScarboroughSave me from spending...
