Did you go to the new cinema at Liverpool 1?, the whole area is amazing now with the next phase opening up, the whole of the city centre seems to be coming alive at the mo. Some of your colleagues had a bit of excitement near Clayton Square on Saturday, thanks to some stop the war coallition people! What a waste of time and resources.
Hey Sparky,
Yeah, we went the new cinema, it's a bit posh, but the seats are a bit cramped (for me, most are actually!)
I heard about the mini riot in Clayton Square. lol. Total waste of time. Sometimes I think people should be left alone, less mes and kicking off then. I agre a waste of time and resourses.

Also if you are feeling flush, some showings have a "gallery" area where you pay £15 a ticket (!!) BUT the refreshments and nibbles are free.:beer: It won't last long once I get in there....I am one of the 63336.'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep.'

I hope no-one minds, but I'd like to join this going forwards, please.
Picked up one of those sealed tins from poundstretchers today and I'm aiming to fill it with £1 coins. I already save £2 coins in a terramundi towards seeing the Grand Canyon one day ... actually I'm on the second one, haven't had the heart yet to smash the first full one (and its keeps temptation away from me).
The filled tin can be for a new sofa (think mine will last about another 12 months max) and for Yule next year. Wonder if the tin would hold £500 ... soon find out
These sealed tins seem to be a wonderful way of saving bit by bit without missing it.Debts (incl Mortgage) at LBM (24/09/08) £102849  Now £0. DFD 1st July 20190 -
Hello everyone :hello:
Its been a long while since I've been able to post as my pc at home died on me - I now have a shiney new laptop :j so I can post again...at last :T. I have followed the thread when possible at work but can't post from there.
I am still saving in my tin can and also can't wait to open it on Dec 1st...... I think I am going to put my sealed pot money towards a trip to New Zealand (planned ish for 2011 - long story :-)) and I will DEF be taking part next year too - if thats ok with everyone....
One thing I do is buy my petrol at Morrisons and when I get a full card and hence a £5 voucher I give that to my mum and she gives me £5 which goes in my tin
Good luck to everyone and hope we all save loads......
Hopefully I will post a lot more now - when I get used to this 'new-fangled' machine :rotfl:
T to STrying to Save......
