Evening all, Hope everyone is ok and still saving. I would nto want to run this challenge next year as i just dont have enough time to post but i hear sue has offered. When would we be starting next year?

    Hiya mumzy,
How you doing kid? Well I hope, this challenge is just growing & growing, I think it will all kick off again on the 2nd of December, it will be nice to be "in" from the start. Know what you mean about not having enough time, also my computer at home will let me type replies, but not submit them, bl**dy technology!

  • Hello I have never done any of the challenges before and would love to join this one when it starts again. Do I just leave my name here. This is a great idea. I have just been doing a small sealed jar challenge the last few weeks, its spending money for our girls when we go on holiday in a couple of weeks, and would love to try for a year, I would have to get a proper sealed jar though to stop me digging into it. Well done everyone it will be so interesting to see how well you all did.

    Hi rkirstjim.

And welcome - it's not too late to start for this year you know!

I guess we'll get a shiny new thread when the challenge starts again next year....there have been some conversations about people keeping their numbers, but not sure it's been decided yet.

Anyhow - it's good to have you on board - this year or next. Good luck!

  • Got a new piggie this week - from work. It's a bit ugly as it has work's logo on the side. But - it's see-thru blue plastic, which I like the idea of as I can see the pennies fill up. Think I'm gonna keep it for next year.

A fair few pennies in the pot this week - £7 from mystery shops and not one, but two large gold pennies from hubby's pocket. YAAAAAAAAY!!!

WOW.....what a great day yesterday (at least that'll be the date you're looking at now). The thread's really come alive and feels as though it's buzzing!!! :jIt's great to see everyone so full of enthusiasm for the opening of the pots this year......... :j The 1st of December is the date Candy & mickey mouse.

......and the re-launching of a fresh one next year!!! :D :j

OK them Mumzy, if you definately no longer wish to do the challenge ..and everyone else is ok with it then I'd be really happy to take it on for next year. In which case,as Sparky's suggested we'd just as well start straight on again on Tuesday December 2nd :D

With regard to our numbers, I see no reason not to continue on with the same as last year IF that's ok by all. In which case rkirstjm, petrafyde and all other budding new members, just come on to the new thread for next year and ask to be added then. You will be so very welcome, it'll be great to keep the challenge going that Mumzy so wisely started. Thanks so very much Mumzy, it's been fantastic and we all owe it to you for giving us the push to do it!!! :T:T:T
No I didn't buy it but will get one, would like to do the next challenge but not sure if I could wait a year to open it, I'm so impatient. Can't wait to see how much everyone has saved over the year.

Hi TMD. Come on and start with us next year regardless of which pot you get - but - why not run 2 pots, one for Christmas 2009 and the other for times when you're really hard up. Though, it's amazing as the further you keep going the more reluctant you are to open it up again! :D Give it a try and see how you go .....just enjoy the challenge!

I love the sound of your ugly piggie Little Chicken, the ugliness won't matter, it'll simply make the money look prettier for sure!;)

Hi Molly! Good to see you back again and hope all's not so bad for you. It is a shame the opening's on a Monday, but I suspect a cork will still pop in your neck of the woods!!! Well done elliemoo, but for Heaven's sake watch you don't catch your fingers on those openings!

Greenbynature it's so good that you've been saving with us all that time. It's also great to see you'll have money for your DS's 21st. As to suggestions for a prezzie for him  ummmm ...how about a 20 year old girl!!!!! Bet he'd love one of them! :kisses2:

Next year the children want to do one too, they already have a little 'piggy' they can each use. Of course they'll only be adding a few bits here and there but I love their enthusiasm

I thought that was great moneypooh, a great start for kiddies ....and very MSE!!

Thanks for your support Stunty and Sparky, you've both been amazing and I'll certainly be relying on you both on the new challenge, please guys!

Almost forgot in all the excitement - a £2 coin from hubs today, though he doesn't know about it!!!! :D
