  • Evening Sparky, you should tell you DW to get her ballgown in NY..... saves you carrying it one way at least (and it'll be waaaaaaaay cheaper than JL's!)
Although I'm anti shopping, I can't wait for the whole of the liverpool 1 complex to open. The arcade they're putting in the old HMV building is going to be amazing (apparently)

    Thanks Stunty,
I'm afraid if I let her loose in Ny with all the shops, I will have to get her a hat with a red flashing light so I can find her & I'll need to buy extra suitcases to bring all the stuff home lol.

Now we've got the stadium & Liverpool 1, finally getting the modernisation that the city has been crying out for for ages, it is incredible the job they've done so far. I remember the HMV building when it was Woolies, we used to stand around outside, looking up, then when we had a big enough crowd just walk away. leaving them all looking up at the top of woolies.

  • lol, I used to do that too!!!!! bwahahaha. Class! They're putting the Woolies clock back on the building.
NY is scary shopping wise. Trust me. thats where my ex got me into all sorts of money problems. Still, I have to admit, it's a hell of a city. And they'll love your accent. They love John Lennon and the Beatles. Don't forget to go look at the Dakota Building where he was shot.

:T ny is fantastic been once going back for sure must admit to buying stuff i dont really need but macys and bloomingdales are great century 21 for cheap bargain and a load of window shopping . For all the liverpool nyorkers if you can get to the far end of birkenhead park and look over the green and see liverpool in the background thats upper west side looking north Liverpool one looks exciting and the docklands are (at last ) starting to resemble what was promised over 13 years ago so i for one will embrace all that happens once again in the centre of the world (liverpool) the new echo arena looks fab
After reading this post by me you realise i havent saved much lately sorry

    Thanks surfbabe,
I'm going to print all the remarks about buying a ball gown in NY and place them discreetly around the house to give my DW a hint. We're going in November. Really looking forward to it

    Hello all!

I am back from Bulgaria with a slight tan! :D

I managed to save a £2 coin and not spend it on the plane on the way home so thats just about to go in my pot.

I am off to the dentist this morning to get 2 teeth taken out for when my braces are fitted :eek::eek::eek:

    Welcome back LMM,
How was Bulgaria? Nice to see you keeping up the challenge & not spending your £2 coin. DW needed some money for work this morning and the only coin I had was a £2 coin, it was very hard letting go of it lol.

Hope your mouth isn't too sore after visiting the tooth doctor
