Your Dart Charge account has been inactive for 12 months.

In accordance with our terms and conditions, your account will be closed if it remains inactive for a further 90 days.

You can keep your account open by topping up your balance or by making a crossing in a vehicle which is linked to the account.

If you have any queries, please contact us on 0300 300 0120 between 5:00am and midnight daily. Alternatively, email customerservice@dartford-crossing-charge.service.gov.uk.

Does anyone know when this closing inactive accounts started?

I haven't made crossing in 2 years, last one was Oct 2017, but only just received above email about this in last week.

There is discount with Pre-pay.

The best bit is to never have to worry whether you have paid after crossing, and checking if you have enough in the account plus you can add other car/bike regs as well.

Pre-pay and dart tag are the same thing, I think.

When I pre-paid I was using the crossing once a month so saved about £1.65 for a return journey.
