Virgin: Address Not Serviceable

What are Virgin playing at??
Absolutely terrible customer service. I asked about making a complaint and they recommended snail mail, then denied that doing so is an attempt to discourage complaints.
Now have to find an alternative provider that can service this address. Annoyingly virgin have the best speeds out there, but are let down by awful customer service. Any recommendations welcome or advice on what I can do about their postcode checker lying.
- Placed an order for fibre broadband 3 weeks ago
- Installation date set for last week, called them morning of to check everything was ok
- Get told the address is wrong and the correct one isn't serviceable. Will pass it on to the correct team and get an answer to me within 48 hours.
- 4 days later still nothing so call back. Insist the address isn't serviceable (I went to their site on the call and surprise surprise their postcode checker has my correct address and confirms they can provide service there)
- Order cancelled, as if it's no big deal to them

You go on about Virgin having the "best speeds". How much "speed" do you actually need? Virgin have the best headline throughput numbers where I live, but I don't use them. So the checker is not itself correct compared with other Virgin checks.
Your "correct address" is your address but it appears that the Virgin postcode checker is not correctly recognising it.
Also postcodes cover more than one house: maybe you are just out of range.0 -

Virgin fibre broadband packages aren’t cheap but they do offer excellent speeds;...I’ve been a Virgin fibre customer (110Mbps package) for years but last week I ditched Virgin for a cheaper (slower!) option. Perhaps??? there are some households in your post-code that can get Virgin fibre; e.g. the houses at the bottom of your street that may have a Virgin cable running directly past them. Or maybe the inclusion of your post-code in Virgins area-checker is just a complete ****-up altogether,...who knows.
I can understand your frustration but if Virgin are saying they can’t actually provide broadband to your house then there is little more you can do about it. If there is no Virgin cable running past your property at the moment then that situation is unlikely to change in the near future.
There should be several viable alternatives for your postcode though,...unless you’re very unlucky.0 -

You need to realise that if there is no Virgin cable outlet actually passing your property there is precisely nothing you will achieve by complaining about their postcode checker. It's obviously a simple mistake rather than an out-and-out lie. What do you think Virgin would gain from having a "dishonest" postcode checker? Prior to the merger of Telewest and NTL and then the use of the Virgin name, there were numerous local cable firms who basically went bankrupt due to the prohibitive cost of cabling streets without a resultant high take up of services. As a result, Virgin coverage is not anywhere near nationwide.0 -

I bought a new build last year. Was gutted I had to leave VM. Was gutted when I saw my speeds I could get at the new property. FTTC only.0
