In fact if you had invested £100,000 in the HSBC MSCI World ETF a year ago you would be £2,000 better off than if you had invested in SJP's Global Equity Fund.
Benchmarking against a different index perhaps accounts for the claim. I'd suggest the NQGI.
They told me exactly the same things - they sack their managers if they don't meet performance etc. Wanted 5% upfront.
Told me the same thing as well. I didn’t like the hidden costs of their vertical marketing so got out (no exit fees). Strange my current FA never liked Woodford products yet SJP are in bed with him.
More info and comparison here, although I'd do your homework carefully on the firm providing this information before deciding if you wanted to do any business with them.

At the risk of taking this all far too seriously, I'd see there being a distinction between the allegedly accurate researched information scripted for the host versus the ad hoc banter of the contestants, in a broadly analogous way to this site, where there is editorial content (that's supposed to be largely factual) and a free-for-all forum where all sorts of garbage is shared (yes, I get the irony!)....
