Motorola G7 Notification Problem

I have a new Motorola G7, all is good so far except one minor irritation.

It's too do with the Notification on my messenger app, it's extremely poor and a very quiet sound.

I can hear the phone ring brilliant, I have installed Bluemail email and can hear notifications in a crowded room, but messenger is pathetic.

Can anyone help please?

Change the notification sound to something else and increase it's volume. AFAIK the volumes of notification sounds and ring tones can be set independently.

Apologies if you have, but individual sounds volume may be changed in the settings menu. I have a G7 too. In the "sound" settings and advanced drop down options, they are all listed.
I installed a volume booster app. which does help. What I have found, in spite of changing the volumes in settings, that they are inconsisent. i.e. one occasion too loud another time the opposite!
