Failed Samsung Warranty Repairs
Options
Good evening,
I'm hoping you can give me some advise, I have a Samsung S8 which is still within its warranty period, I've reported the issue to Samsung and they've advised me that they'd send someone out using WeFix to repair my device.
I've had WeFix come out last Friday on 27/10/2019 and they replaced the call speaker which didn't resolve the issue. I informed Samsung the following day and they said they'd need to attempt another repair which was scheduled for today (28/10/2019). However WeFix didn't turn up and at the time, after waiting for them they called to say the repair was cancelled as they didn't have parts available.
I've asked Samsung for options, however they aren't offering any alternative options. I asked about a replacement device or refund and they refused stating there warranty is repair warranty.
Thanks in advance,
David

I had an issue with a Galaxy S9. My only advice to you is that you have to find your own way of escalating the issue if you want a resolution other than another scheduled repair.
I had my battery fail at 6 months and then 13 months. The phone was a mess after they gave it back to me at 13 months. They will just give you generic responses. Most of the time the reply had nothing to do with what I said. In the end they offered me a refurb replacement which I refused as I didn’t want what may be someone else’s broken phone given how they have handled my current phone. In the end they compromised on buying my phone back for £375 (most places offer £200 to £225).
I didn’t handle it well tbh but my advice would be to be prepared for lots of generic responses and escalations to people who are basically nothing to do with a complaint.0
