Three Topcashback issues

I've been trying to get the iPhone 11 Pro deal from Three via TopCashback. I'm a new user so can't post links but basically £70 Cashback on £79 Upfront & £57 a month!

I tried once and then went on live chat and they said it hadn't failed so tried again but failed again... I signed up to Experian Credit Report free trial so I could see my searches update daily and nothing from Three appeared? A search from the MSE Credit Club did though so shows it has updated. I have read that Three aren't good with TopCashback and try and make people complete on the phone so they can avoid the payout so not sure if that's what was occuring.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar problems with Three? Now just worried when I try another mobile contract my credit will have worsened because of this!

Thanks! :)

Clear cookies and history before applying .
  • I must admit I didn't do that, but first time was on my laptop, second time on my phone

Don't hold your breath for TCB paying up if the the dealer reneges - they don't have to get you to call them to do that. As for the rest, if you don't clear your cookies (the device is totally irrelevant) you're giving them a potentially genuine (not that it matters to them) excuse not to pay.

Completely fair enough - but I mean if the credit check isn't going through properly that's not because of the cookies/history is it?

Nothing at all, but it was you who linked the two. Some networks won't contemplate another application within a certain period of time.
