OK... this ones a bit complicated

Focus has just changed it's financial year from Nov - Oct to March to Feb. This means that this year (2007) has been extended by 4 months to end at the end of Feb 2008.

One of the reasons quoted was to include the costs of transferring / closing the stores onto the 2007 tax year. So most stores without dates on this thread would be potentially closing at the end of January / start of Feb. This gives a couple of weeks for the financial paperwork to be completed.

Depends on how much stock is left. Don't chance it! Take a trip tomorrow, if the store is looking bare - hang around. They'll start the trolley for £20/£10/£5 trick. If it's not bare, try Saturday...

Just phoned the Liskeard store - the customer assistant told me that they aren't closing until the end of the year and it's the first she has heard that the store is closing tomorrow.....

Do the staff even know, have they been given redundancy notices, any information?

Just phoned Focus head office - Liskeard is being closed on the 31st December.

Went to Weston-super-mare yesterday and asked when closing. They said they dont know the actual date but have been told it will be by the end of this year.

Lots of stuff left but nothing I wanted! Just my luck.

we where all given our notice months ago i was usure about what day we where closing untill the day it happend we where told we would close on a tuesday but they then brought it foward to the saturaday 3 days early so no one nows till the last min
