hmmm, not sure what happened to my last post.
But stoke(hanley) is closing in jan aparently current doing upto 50% with a extra 10% this weekend. still a decent amount of stuff left as well

Actual closing dates might sometimes be earlier than listed?

Dumfries seemed to be shut on afternoon of 01/12 (and with fixtures all but removed), but going back through messages was only meant to shut on that day. Obviously missed out on any last minute bargains!

Popped into the Airdrie store today - they had 30% of all paint , christmas decorations, 20% of all lighting, 60% of kitchens (you'd have to know what you needed), shower enclosures for about £100 (were 500ish).

Log roll (for the garden) 50% off, £4.99 per roll.

They had loads of other stuff but none of it was cheap enough to make me grab it . I spoke to one of the ladies working there and she told me it wouldbe the end of january they were closing. I told her I was thinking of gettting some lights reduced from £25 to £8 (no way worth 25- worth about 10-15) she said they will definately be doing much more reductons but probably not till after christmas.

Sorry if someone has posted this info but ddn't have time to go through all the posts.

Mansfield closing 21st December - staff confirmed today

upto 80% off some stuff - door handles etc
tools 40% - not alot left
60% off screws etc
60% off garden stuff - lawn feed etc,hose lock products
50% off paint

40% seems to be the norm but lots of stuff with greater discounts

also selling off display cabinets and racks

about 75% of the store is stocked, going down quickly

A word of warning - there are lots of posters saying "*UP TO* 70% off certain lines but many of the products don't appear to have the anything like 70% off, in fact are still pretty expensive than elsewhere!

We've got to be careful about this! If I remember rightly (puts flameproof suit on just in case) at least 10% of the stock has to be reduced by the higher price / percentage. The store will have a list of percentages by 'class' and Hilco will determine which percentage to put on the signs.
