I got mine in HMV, 60gb with 2 games and blu ray disc-£349.
Not sure whether your local will have stock.
When i bought mine 2 weeks ago, they had only just had a new delivery in, its worth calling them in the morning to see if they have any.

I have just looked and the prices of the packages have all gone up to £420.00plus VAT.On Friday when my son told me about this deal it was £380.00( plus VAT), I went on line yesterday and still debated, it was in my basket at £380.00 but the prices had gone up to £387.00 and the other was £390.00, when I went to buy,it came up at £387.00, I decided that if the prices were going to go up that quickly, even while i was logged in, I had better buy, as I still couldn't get any other other good deals MSEers had posted. Play.com, Argos, Currys, PC World etc.
I am really sorry about this but I have had my order confirmed and am paying £452.00 for everything I previously mentioned. I think this is refelecting the fact that PS3's left are having their prices pushed up as i said by supply and demand, which makes us all part of this cycle as they would all have been bought in to sell at a profit only now they must be making a huge profit.
Our large HMV's all sold out wiith no more expected in, if you google PS3 deals you will find a search site and see that all the good deals have gone. I think what I have paid for what we are getting is OK but as I said still a huge amount of money. Good luck, I really hope you find something.

Get a 40gb. A 60gb is not necessary just so you can play PS2 games. Jeez, I remember the same argument abotu the Xbox 360 needing to play old Xbox games. Now, nobody gives a monkeys. You spend £300 to play the new games, not the old ones. If he is into a PS2, he will already have 1
You can buy a 40gb for £280 at play.com, and I can give you a voucher code to make it £266 if you want

Argos do still have some 60gb with 2free games kicking about. One near me has it..so you should check other Argos stores , not just the closest (if you REALLY want a 60gb..but I personally dont think its necessary).

You can get Guitar Hero 3 inc guitar for £65 for the ps3 from amazon.co.uk and probably a lot cheaper somewhere else, so all in all it still could work out cheaper to buy it with the 40gb ps3 than getting the 60gb one by itself.
I agree with doonhamer, I got an xbox360 and after about a week never played an original xbox game again.

I reserved a 60Gb PS3, Resistance Fall of Man and Motorstorm at Argos Whitehaven for collection by end of Monday if anyone wants it. I managed to get one elsewhere today so don't need it. PM if you want the reservation code. I also reserved FIFA 2008 as well cos it said it was half price with the 60G, but don't think both can be used together. Just tell them you don't want FIFA and you will get the PS3 and the 2 games for £349. You should be able to change the 2 games for any of the other ones on the Argos PS3 bundle offer if they have them in stock.

Two options with reputable companies:-
1) HMV £299.99 with 2 bluray discs. -2% quidco =£294
2) Play.com ps3 £279.99 - £5 voucher, - 4% quidco = £268 (Someone mentioned before)

Play also have guitar hero that you mentioned before: £65 (- different £5 voucher and 4% quidco) = £57.40

So in theory if you did go to play you could get the console and game for £325ish.
