if your b/f has got a ps2 and loads of games for it, i would personally buy the 60gb version, here is one: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5683707/Trail/searchtext%3EPS3.htm,
as he will not be able to play his ps2 games on the 40gb you have put the link up for, there are plenty around, may turn out to be slightly dearer, but would be worth paying the slight extra for, hth Dave.Take every day as it comes!!0 -
Anne, someone has just posted on Hotukdeals about a PS3 40gb and 2 games for £299, didn't read it through but its on the first page now. I think theres a £10 off code flying about too.
Sorry couldn't be more specific, just off out.You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -

yes for some unknown wisdom, sony have decided to stop production of the 60gb model which will play ps2 games, and are producing the 40gb model which wont play ps2 games, so for a playstation novice the 40gb will be fine, but for somebody with loads of ps2 games the 40gb is useless, it is quite obvious that most people that are after a ps3 already own a ps2, so why sony want to alienate there biggest potential customerbase, is completly beyond me, sorry i could be of no more use, most of the retailers i have looked around are out of stock, the only place i seem to be able to see any 60gb models is on ebay, but that depends how trusting you are for that kind of money, Dave.ANNEGEDDES wrote: »thanks that argos one is oput of stock xTake every day as it comes!!0 -
I thought the same thing when the PS2 came out. I had lots of PS1 games. But in reality you never play the old format games once you have new ones. And if you do want to you still have the PS2 anyway cos they're hardly worth selling second hand.0

yes it is a fair point, but as at the moment there is not realy a great selection of games out yet for the ps3, so many people would probably want to still play there ps2 games, without having the need for 2 machines, and too be fair all the old ps1 games did play on the ps2, well at least all mine did and i had over 200 games.Take every day as it comes!!0 -

I posted yesterday, not sure where- Interelectronic still have 60 gb in varoius packages. I bough PS 60GB, 3 games, 2 SIXAXIS contollers and HDMI cable for £452.00. A lot of places have run out and Amazon who did have good delas are now asking for £424.00 just for the console I guess it's all down to supply and demand, so those who have PS3s left seem to be charging what they like. So this price for what I am getting looks good really., akthough it is a lot. Feedback on site is excellent and delivery is expected this week. This might help you.0
