  • Yes I think a test-drive would definitely be sensible before purchasing

Any thoughts on GardX £625 and Smartguard £550

I see they also charge £70 for mats

    :/

at those prices with the exception of the mats (maybe), they are robbing you.

Huge commission for the salesperson on those products. You would be better spending the money at a detailer.

20" inch wheels...........hope you have your chiropractor on speed dial.

You are talking about recent addition to your family, perhaps time to get a car more suitable to a family.

You will get better MPG in the 2.0TDi.

  • The issue is I do mainly urban driving and sit in traffic for a commute. Annually I do max 12k and that is mainly traffic. I just don't want another car with a DPF problem

I will take it for a test drive and see how it feels.

you would be better with a golf or passat estate:urbandriving
  • Just to conclude the thread, I picked up my Tiguan and I'm very happy with it. Drives well and not noticeably bumpy on bumps or potholes even with the firm suspension. Tech is nice on it and generally nice car.

The only thing I would say I would have gone for if I was building from scratch and happy to wait is a heated steering wheel. Although I think I probably have colder hands than most anyway so I'm sure the average person wouldn't miss it

    Thanks for all advice
