Undelivered Takeaway

If you can ill afford to lose £14, why are you spending money on a takeaway and delivery cost?
Not cheaper to make meals yourself?
If I'd received my food I wouldn't have lost £14 and wouldn't have needed to buy another takeaway so my son would have some dinner before he had to go to bed.
The reason for the takeaway is because I had a flat inspection the following day and thought it would make it easier to throw away takeaway cartons than to have to wash up the dinner dishes considering I'd spent the weekend making sure my flat was clean and tidy for the inspection.Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

Call your bank and ask for chargeback0

If you paid in advance by card I’d try chargeback.0

Call your bank and ask for chargeback
I have already posted answer to that one....
Good luck with that one.
As you stated that the retailer had delivered the food in the OP.
The dispute will hinge on that fact the retailer says it was delivered. NOT that you did not get the food.Life in the slow lane0 -
Is there any way that you can escalate this with JustEat? It seems very poor for them to just wash their hands of it.
It sounds like you had spoken to the delivery driver - is there any way of calling back and speaking to a manager (likely to work better for larger takeaways)?
You can also try a chargeback / s75 claim with your bank, as others say.0 -

I tried to escalate it with JustEat but was told that as the restaurant said it had been delivered their system was unable to issue a refund.
When I spoke to the delivery driver I said I wanted to speak with the manager and he said he was.Did owe £9,951.96

Just eat are just a 3rd party. They do not deliver or supply the food.
As others have said pay cash.
Even better go direct to the retailer and save them the charge JustEat make them pay...Life in the slow lane0
