Vodafone 30 day contracts discount?

Hi all
i have had massive problems with Vodafone recently and am due to be out of contract on sat.
I have spoken to about 20 different people and all have said that there is not way i can get any kind of discount with the 30 day rolling contracts despite three offering the same for £24.. and despite me being a customer for the longest time.
How much truth is there in this? Do the retention team have any power to change this? Im thinking about cutting my loses and going to three.
