Hi there
I have got a Motability vehicle for my father last year & it’s come with a tracker . I received a phone call recently from Motability saying that I am misusing my car & that they will take it away for after 3 months review if I don’t use it according. The situation my father lives in a care & I have my own house but recently I had a baby & have not been able to visit my father , I really think that this unfair . I just wanted to know has this happened to anyone we’re motability have taken your car away & also I dunno what to do as my baby is fairly young & only visit my father twice a week .

The vehicle is provided so you can run your father about , do his shopping etc. not a family car for you....motobility are clamping down on misuse of their vehicles and it would appear you are a prime suspect0

remind us who the car is for?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

You could stop miss using the car for your own needs, if it was provided for your father's use. You keep referring to it as "your" car. It's not.
They were even kind enough to give you notice and 3 month period to stop the miss use, instead of terminating the lease outright.0 -
Sounds like youre not using the car for your dad. If there's one thing that winds me up its motability scammers... driving around in their brand new car for nothing acting all superior whilt the rest of us pay our way.
Give the car back if he's in a care home and you're not taking him out in it.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

From the scheme rules:
Statement of responsibilities
I understand and confirm that I will abide by the following rules throughout the lease agreement:
• The car will only be used for the benefit of the disabled customer.
• The car must not be used for commercial purposes e.g. as a taxi or delivery vehicle.
• The car will be kept at the address provided.
• The car will only be driven by the drivers approved and listed on the Certificate of Motor Insurance.
• All drivers must have a legally valid driving licence.
• I will notify Motability Operations Ltd or any of their relevant partners of any change in circumstances that may affect the above.0 -
If you don't like it, give it back and buy your own car.
You can do anything you like in your own car.0 -

Sorry its not your car. It is your fathers and you are supposed to use it for his transport, shopping, needs etc.
Not just for a random visit? Perhaps I can repeat it is not your car, and reading your post the sooner motability take it off you and give it to someone you actually deserves it the better. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
I for one am glad to know motability are cracking down on this fraudulent use of the service.0
