Tiling over asbestos floor tiles

As per the title I have asbestos tiles all over the ground floor of my house. I have read around so seems its ok to do. But wanted to know if anyone has done it. And the draw backs.
The reason for tiles is they are more durable than carpet and I want something easy to clean as I have dog.
Thanks in advance.

I've got glued down lino in the kitchen, loose lino in the bathroom and carpet in the hall all on tiles containing asbestos. No problems.
What tiles are you hoping to fit?0 -

Dumb question what difference does it make to what sort of tiles?
I was hoping to put something like this down so it looks like wooden flooring

Ceramic tiles need a level, non flexible base otherwise they can crack or come loose. Also check the adhesive will stick to the asbestos tiles.
A friends got gloss ceramic tiles in her kitchen which are really dangerous when wet.0 -
I tiled over my asbestos floor tiles in my kitchen around 10 years ago with no problems.
The only thing is now I want to take then up and replace them with something else, which will now be a problem.0 -

I am in a minority that when I say tiles for a floor it means ceramic tiles. If it was carpet or vinyl tiles would not have asked the question as it already had carpet down so would have been replacing like for like. Which would have been no problem. And I did say more durable than carpet. So that would have counted out carpet tiles.
I will remember to very explicit about what I am asking next time.
