Will definitely look out for the email - wonder what their criteria are?

Spoke to Halifax they said they had been getting quite a lot of calls about it but basically they sent out 53000 emails to existing Halifax credit card customers which is how they knew which email to send to

he didn't know any more than that but all emails have been sent he said ie there won't be anymore or at least for a while

Thanks for your replies guys and gals. I decided to swap my Starling as that was the least worst option. Shame as a I love Starling but my other 3 accounts are all HSBC group with Regular Savers and a Nationwide with all the added extras.

Anyway, the transition was really smooth once the Halifax website stopped rejecting me (I tried after midnight) and now it's moving in 7 days, with the money hopefully arriving soon after.

Here's hoping the rest of you get invited or it opens to the public soon :-)

So when I tried to do it through online banking it didn't work.

However there was an option to do it outside of online banking.

    This worked a treat.

if you put all your details in as they are on online banking anyway, they'll use common sense and link the account to your online banking account. Mine appeared straight away.

Starling wont let you open an account for a year after switching away from them.
I've just used my HSBC account to get the Club Lloyd's switch.

My son has had the email from Halifax but he has already had a payout last year for a switch to them, he switched away from them to nationwide last year and now they're offering him £150 to switch back i'm wondering if there is something in the t&c's that will stop him getting it again.

Weren't there any T&Cs sent with the email?...or at least a link to them?

The T&C's for this offer are linked earlier in this thread. There's no mention of a past switch invalidating this offer. After all, it appears they're specifically targeting ex-customers.
