Someone has made a claim to esa on the basis of extreme anxiety depression and stress. Since then they have also been diagnosed with arthritis and probable fibromyalgia as a result of the issues.
The esa is in payment and pip submitted.
They tried to claim esa Reg 35 not to go near a dwp office and have now been sent a letter for what I believe is the esa assessment office in same building as a dwp office.
Question is what will the assessment involve. Will they look at both at the same time. How many get through the pip assessment 1st time on reasons given. Arthritis is walking and numb hands fibromyalgia is breathless and unable to deal with situations ret anxiety etc. Also applied blue badge unable to walk any distance without pain and breathless
Any advice gratefully received.

"Will they look at both at the same time"
If you mean will ESA & PIP be assessed together, the answer is no. They are separate benefits with different criteria.
Can you rephrase your question, please. I'm not sure I understand what answers you are seeking.
If you want info about a PIP assessment (& PIP), follow these links and carefully read the information they contain:

No idea "how many get through the pip assessment 1st time on reasons given", but remember you have appeal rights.
Did you get help to complete the PIP2 form?
What activities and descriptors did you identify as problematic?
Have you supplied medical (or other evidence) as part of your PIP application?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
For the descriptors for pip we put unable to walk any distance due to pain and exhaustion, this was pre arthritis diagnosed, unable to shower or wash dress properly alone for same reasons, often cannot even come downstairs due to pain or bums up and down arthritis is knees and ankles
unable to deal with finances / people / post / calls due to the extreme anxiety stress and depression. Unable to cook or prepare a meal as struggles to multitask,
Will drive when forced to short distances as can use autonomous settings but will not drive alone and uses sat nav even to the dr and someone with them.
Spoke to the dr and he said that they don’t ask for medical information but due to see him this week now arthritis confirmed and have a ruematoid clinic to attend soon.
Currently on 14 tablets a day excluding arthritis mainly for the anxiety stress and depression at the moment plus BP and a chest pain gel.0 -
Have you supplied DWP with copies of any medical letters that confirm and/or explain the conditions? Although the awards are determined by the impact of conditions not on the conditions themselves it is helpful to provide such evidence (note they are not interested in appointment letters).Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

If this is the case OP you'll need proof, such as communication with wheelchair services or consultant letters.0 -

Could be person can walk one day but suffers so much pain as a result that they can’t the next couple of days. If that was the case they would meet the descriptor based on the majority of the time.
When filling out forms always be honest and tell it how it is and not base it on your worst day because that's not the correct way to fill out any form, as we know.0 -
poppy12345 wrote: »Agreed but stating you can't walk any distance is like saying you can't walk at all. If the OP walks into the assessment room then that will instantly go against them.
