My daughter has some ghd's, the wire around where it meets the straighteners has started crackling etc....is this kind of fault covered under any warranty ? Does anyone know how to contact GHD to ask
Many Thanks
ps GHD's are the best if you have thicker, unruly hair!!!0 -
I have had all sorts of staraighteners over the years but im afraid its GHD all the way for me too. No others come close. I got mine new in box from ebay for £69Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

I've had my GHD's for 4 years now and they still work perfectly!! So well worth the £100 they cost (though they were a birthday present so even cheaper for me!):o
Other cheaper versions i doubt would last that long0 -
Wouldn't have anything other than GHDs on my hair. I have had my pair for 6 years, well worth the cost.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0

I bought the Babyliss Pro 230 ones for one of my kids, and they're excellent. I've even tried them on my hair which is very, very thick and curly , and they straightened it no problem. Well worth the money.0

I always use to think the whole GHD thing was more of a name than a quality product.
I would happily explain to anyone who had GHD's "why should i spend £100 on hair straighteners that do the same as my Nicky Clark £30 ones".
After 7 months my £30 Nicky clarks broke.
I was at my friends and used hers and thats when i realised: There are no other hair straighteners than GHDs.
Here's my verdict: If the person has never used GHDs before £30 hair straightners would be fine, but if they know what its like to be GHD'ed then best not get them anything else.
Think of the arguments between 4 woman on who would use the GHDs and who would use the "Other" ones:0 -
i have the Andrew Collenge straighners and do like them but have wanted ghd ones for ages now, my hair dressers users them on me and i do notice the difference. My hair is fine but there is a lot of it and i find if i don't straighner it then it sticks out, im hoping that my oh will get me some for xmas as ive just told him about them and he says you might get some for xmas bless himMarried 09/09/090
