    Op, maybe in your world using the word chill is in someway offensive.

    But not in everyone’s world... I use the word chill if my hubby is panicking over something.. it’s a comforting word to say hugs everything will be ok....

    I have never heard of the word being used in anything but that manner, certainly not in the way you interpreted it.

    I feel sorry for you op if you interpreted kindness and really good advice for something else, life is not a battle with everyone out to hurt you... most of the time people just want to help.
