Flea infestation

I bought this spray to handle the flea infestation I'm having in my house at the moment.
Fleas virtually vanished for like half a day, then started to appear again and on the following day there were even more fleas than before using the spray.
I'm told to not use more product but instead to vacuum daily for one week. Is this advice sound or do I need to do something else a t that point?

Use Indorex. Link here. It demolishes fleas and (importantly) their larvae. Also kills spiders (though that is not always a good thing) and lasts months.

For a particularly bad infestation you may need to do it twice (once and then again a couple of days later) but it is the business0 -
The vacuuming is presumably to Hoover up the eggs and larvae, but sounds like some hatched already. Best to follow the instructions on the product you are using. It might be worth asking on a more appropriate board of the forum for advice.Evolution, not revolution0

My pair of terriers have had a lot this summer.0

Vet told me to keep using one of the spot on treatments, which will also get rid of any fleas around the house. Turns the dog into a flea killing machine because they jump onto the dog and then die.
Must say that on the two occasions we have seen fleas around, it has worked perfectly. Just be a bit patient.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Hi OP - Bm is not at all effective. It's the lip service of products.
I buy Frontline Homegard £16 (suitable for both dog and cat) for quite a thick tin blue & white coloured spray tin can at W@itrose - it reminds me of the spray I once had to buy from the vets.
My last cat a long haired used to suffer badly and she really needed the spot on treatment monthly without fail for much of her life - she came as a rescue with half of her body shaved due to mattyness.
I'm so very fortunate with my new kitty who is short haired and I've yet to experience fleas from her.0 -
I thought this thread was about the Labour party0

I had a bad flea infestation in my house when I moved in thanks to the previous owner’s cats. Indorex worked well but I still had the occasional bite six months later.0

Could just as easily have been about the Conservatives....
I also had problems with fleas during the summer. A three pronged attack seems to have got rid of the little burgers. Johnson's 4Fleas tablets daily for both the dog and cat. Flea bombed the entire house twice. The most effective part was spraying the carpets daily with a very strong, industrial strength flea & bug killer. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I was told to put damp towels on the radiators and put the heating on. The warm moist air encourages the fleas to come out of the carpet/furniture and also creates the right temperature and humidity for the pupae to hatch (which can lay dormant for a long time). Then I used a spray I got from the vets (can't remember the name) and sprayed everything and closed the door to the room for a couple hours before vacuuming. Also used a flea treatment from the vets that would kill the fleas.
