Expensive gift card to sell.

I have an expensive jewellers gift card £1500 I’d like to sell. I’m not into jewellery cutlery carriage clocks etc and is of no use to me. What us the best selling forum to sell it on? Tia

  • You may be better off trying a close friend or relative first. I should think that selling it online would leave you open to all sorts of scams.
  • Having been scammed myself several times on ebay, I would never sell anything over £100.

Expensive items are a magnet for conmen, Ebay just make it too easy for them.

Ask family and friends or at work. I sold a Virgin Experience gift card to someone at work.

If you're not into that stuff, how did you come to receive the voucher?

    Dodgy wedding gift, competition win?

It's a huge amount to have on a voucher..so I think you'll struggle to find anyone to pay full value for it.

To get rid, I think you'll need to offer it cheap...say £500. Even then you'll probably struggle, unless you know someone who's intending to make a large purchase of that nature.

Alternatively, spend it, on a classic piece, a watch etc. keep it boxed and mint condition...to bequeath or sell later.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

The only safe way to sell it is to either offer it to friends or family for a good price, or advertise it on Facebook, but make it clear it is cash on collection only. No PayPal, no postage.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • You could use it to buy stuff for presents or stuff you could sell ?
  • Can one buy bullion through a jewellers?

Buy some jewellery now, incase the shop goes bust and you lose it.
