Aerial Direct
So I let my other half organise his mobile contract a few years and he chose 02 then when he tried to contact them about something it seemed that he was under Aerial Direct. He only recalled having a conversation with 02 telling him that as he works for himself it would cheaper to have a business contract (there’s only him in the business) 🤦!♀️ He didn’t realise that Aerial were partners not 02 and the implications of having business to business contract. He finally checked his direct debit as it appears he doesn’t get bills and his bill is huge. He contacted them and it turns out the free sim they sent when he bought his iPhone 5se with them is now being charged even though he doesn’t use it. They told him today he had 15 months left on his contract, he asked them to cancel the sim but they said it was part of his contract but that he could change his contract. He then agreed to a 5GB 27 month contract (😲🤦!♀️) but lower fees of £21.16. Next minute he’s got an email for 2 separate sims on a 39 month contract. Then another two emails for two separate sims on a 27 month contact neither of them coming to the £21 he agreed. Mine Is £8 a month for 4GB, I could kick him! Supposedly a manager is calling me back tomorrow to discuss this as I said there is no way you should be paying for a sim you don’t use and was free. I have asked for them to review their calls as the one they said renewed his contract on 24:7/28 he doesn’t remember making. Anyone got any suggestions for what I should ask? Any help greatly appreciated. If not as I work in social media and law I’ll be calling in all my contacts tomorrow.

Sorry to clarify it was an extra free sim for the kids iPad that they no longer use.0

Not sure he's the sort of person to be let loose as purchaser that alone a "business". There's no cooling-off period on a business contract either so he will need written proof of exactly what was agreed or (failing that) written confirmation from them that he actually agreed to something.
If he's so easily sucked into awful deals it's going to be even harder to get out of them. In any case no-one should agree to any contract without some written evidence of exactly what they have contracted to.0 -
And that’s why he’s not allowed to organise anything financially! ☹️!♀️0

Thats disgraceful, 39 month contract on a mobile. Towards the end of that 39 month term data charges would jave fallen so much they would be be on id mobile for £4 a month0

I had something similar hsppen to me with ee. My business is in events and we get dim cards from ee on an ad hoc basis to use with 4g routers. Some months we might need 4x30gb sims, other months ond or none. So we slways get 30 day rolling sim cards, use them for a month and cancel them.
Well bright spark at ee suggests he just send us 4 sim cards for uz to activate snd use when we wanted. Just ribg up and activatd the sims when wr needed them. It eould save the hassle of getting s 30 day contract snd cancelling.
Well it turns out the guy at ee just put uz on 4 new contracts for thd sims.they werent even om a 30 day rolling contract. Luckily i rang up immediately and got those contracts cancelled immediately. I explsined the misunderstanding snd they accepted0
