Fossil fuel energy has not taken A naturally safe environment and made it dangerous
It's taken our naturally dangerous climate and made it unnaturally safe

It's like one of those cigarette adverts from the 50's stating how a particular brand would improve your health & longevity!
Mart will love the bit about CO2 being plant food....:rotfl:4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh0 -

It's a very reasonable argument on the video and one I hold to be self evidently true
Fossil fuel useage makes us rich
Our rich society makes us healthy and resilient
Both in better nutrition but also more resistance to the dangers of nature itself
From famine to draught, the USA is immune because it is rich due to fossil fuels
Africa or north Korea is less immune partly because they lack fossil fuel infrastructure
This doesn't mean abandon development of alternatives
Even if we do nothing technology moves on
But for historic fossil fuel useage, current fossil fuel useage, and the near term increase in fossil fuel useage it should be seen as a net positive for humanity it means less suffering less harm more health more wellbeing0 -

Have you bought a mirror?
I wouldn’t normally make a joke like that but irrespective of who your comment is directed at it is not appropriate language to use on a forum. I’m surprised at you mmmmikey. You have been taking the moral high ground quite a bit of late and while I have enjoyed the humorous nature of a lot of your posts I think in your enthusiasm to jump on the bash GA band wagon you have overstepped the mark and forgotten common decency.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0 -

Interesting take on Greta Thunberg’s involvement in climate change debate.
Edit: sorry I’ve posted this on the wrong thread.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0 -

Russia Today has a habit of playing down any climate change news. The slant is fairly clear in the article.8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.0

I'd like to introduce her to GA ... I could sell tickets & popcorn.:D
The poor girl suffers from depression and anxiety
It shows in her most recent talks
She literally believes if zero isn't achieved within a handful of years then life is going to collapse
That's a very unreasonable view point and makes me wonder why those around her with a duty of care are not explaining to her that a warmer planet isn't really a huge problem. Well actually I don't wonder I believe she is being used. at most it's a modest economic cost spread over decades likely centuries. It isn't a threat to life or her existence which she has been misled to believe
Like I've said if you look at actual data for climate deaths and tragedy it's a graph that rapidly fell as Fossil fuel useage increased. Fossil fuels and globalisation have allowed humanity to get rich and productive enough to deal with droughts failed crops hurricanes and tornadoes etc
Historically, currently, and for the near future, fossil fuel useage and its growth are POSITIVE for health and wellbeing. This is obvious by the fact of which country would you like to live in. Rural India or rural Germany. One is more or less zero fossil fuels the other is heavy fossil fuels.0 -

There is a school of thought that says given that the number of people that believe this now is limited to a few cranks and loonies, telling her that might be a bit irresponsible.0
