Driving in France? Things can be confusingly different especially in urban areas. For an overview try:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A2082863
The following links are in French but there are pictures so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to understand.
Road markings and other stuff including legal examples eg drink driving / using mobile
http://www.code-route.com/code-de-la-route/code-route/Reglementation-marquage-sol.htm
And for general driving test type questions (these are multiple choice and relatively fun)
http://www.permisecole.com/code-route/priorites/priorite-a-droite-et-ligne-continue.html
In particular the "priorite à droite" examples are useful as we don't have priorite à droite. (Sorry the accent on the e doesn't work)0 -

Hey avantra
Many thanks for those - added either above or into the Maintenance Tips thread.

Did you know? A Notice of Intended Prosecution must be served within 14 days of the alleged offence, otherwise it may not be enforceable
correct.....but folk need reminding that it is the registered keeper that recieves the NIP within the 14 days.....and said keeper must disclose the identity of the driver concerend.
If the RK wasn't the driver themselves, discloses said driver's identity, then said driver recieves the NIP....which may well be delivered well outside that 14 days of offence mentioned above. However, the 14 day rule has been observed......and it is this issue which leads to optimistic confusion.
I would like to submit a sub-forum.......and the forum's FAQs, which totally clarify the proceedures regarding motoring offences.
http://www.5ive-o.org/forum/index.php
http://www.5ive-o.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12
is the specific sub-forum.......but the whole forum is a thoroughly welcoming site......and is moderated by both serving Police officers [in an unofficial capacity] and magistrates [likewise].......as well as insurance experts, driving proffessionals, and loads of informed contributors......all-in-all, a thoroughly useful site that separates motoring myth from motoring fact! No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -

Hiya, i am currently selling my car and after spending days checking them all out, i have a list that might come in handy for anyone trying to sell their car and attempting to do it without forking out any advert fee's like myself.
One suggestion i would also make is to firstly join a site like ukcarads.co.uk and use the Dial Safe telephone number they provide to redirect to your own phone, free of charge, on all the other ads you put online, to save displaying ur own number
OK here it is:
ukcarads.co.uk
local.thesun.co.uk
vehicletrader.co.uk
carseller.co.uk
gumtree.co.uk
buyacar.co.uk
trade-it.co.uk
preloved.co.uk
uk.freeads.net
usedcartrader.co.uk
vivastreet.co.uk
motoring.co.uk
car-sale.org.uk
proautodata.co.uk
searchacar.co.uk
wheels-near-u.co.uk
autowebsearch.co.uk
freecarclassifieds.co.uk
trade-it.co.uk
pistonheads.com
Im sure theres a few more...i have started listing my car today so we shall see if i can manage to sell my car without it costing me a penny! lol :j0
