I paid for a 3 day event as a trader, as part of the agreement Electricity was purchased from the company. I needed electricity to operate the stand and produce products for the customers. The electric was due to be available from 7am day one this was not made available until 12.15 PM. Preventing us from setting up the stand ready for customers. The electricity was then on and off every few minutes resetting computers and printers. This went on for many hours we where told the weather was affe thing the electric connections and the weather was going to get worse and electricity could not be guaranteed. Bare in mind the main stage and food areas had electricity that was not affected by the weather. The events organisers did not do anything about the mud slide but promised for many hours to lay wood chippings etc.. after speaking with the event organiser user on day two after around 30 calls to the production and management office complaining of no electricity. We agreed that it would not be beneficial to continue at the stand I was told a full refund would happen for the electric and then most of not all of the cost of the stand. Since the event has finished I have an email confirmation of the electric refund which they wont pay on. And emails stating the financial dorector is looking at the amount of refund to be given. After 3 weeks they came back with an email saying they will not refund anything and that I should claim on insurance. I only got public liability insurance as I did not expect t to have to worry about the well known company not providing the electric etc..
Please can someone help me on this one I have so far lost around £3000 and the company have stopped responding to my emails. The event was paid on credit card which is now costing me more money.
Can I claim this back from the credit card? Does anyone know of a way I can push the company to refund?
Any help will be great.
Thanks in advance

I'd certainly try your credit card company. See https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases/
If that doesn't work (although I hope it will), a money claim online is your next stop: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/web/mcol/welcome0
