I read the advice, researched and at that point decided not to post. People like yourself know where to look and were very kind in taking the time to do so. If I was an expert in this field it wouldn't be irritating to me to have a look again if I was helping someone. But I've obviously crossed the line with you so please don't reply again as you are not coming across very well. If anyone else wants to keep looking please do, don't let this fellow stop you.
I'm not coming across very well...?
Easy for you to state what you would do when you aren't actually doing anything other than "deciding to not post" nor give feedback...until you decided to ask the very same question again and again and again..
Perhaps you would come over a bit better if you stated you were looking for something more outstanding for the price.
Anyone else is welcome to continue searching for you. Good luck.
Perhaps you can learn from a bit of constructive criticism, rather than choosing to take offence.
...and do let us know your speciality. Might come in useful at some point.0 -
I don't agree with your criticism, your main point being that I have no intention to buy, when that is the complete opposite.I've thanked everyone that has helped and asked further questions where necessary.
Please stop posting you are not helping.0 -
Allow £100 for monitor
Get Refurb MSI at #20 at £300
However, I would recommend spending extra £50 for this.

If you want to go down laptop route.
Look for laptop with Ryzen 5 3500u, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD
That is a few around £400 recently

And i would suggest you purchase it now. It is already a good price.0 -

I agree, that it might be worth spending the extra £50 and also note that there is only 1 in stock

£100 monitor could have a relatively low refresh rate(go for 75Hz at the very minimum) and of course the 144Hz model to which I linked to at £140 is long gone. Obviously the price was not outstanding..
So the budget has already moved closer to £500 with the alternative MSI..0 -
So £500 all in for the PC and £400 for the laptop (think it will have to be a joint Christmas and birthday present!)
Which would you choose if it were you?0 -
Desktop would run better and can upgrade in future.
£400 laptop would run, but would possibly compromise on performance.
If you want a laptop with comparable performance with that desktop, you probably looking £8000 -

Is this a good buy?
If you read back over the thread, I said in #1 this was for a Christmas/birthday present. I was not aware of the costs when posting and so was looking to buy brand new. Once it became clear that this was not in my budget and I would have to buy second hand the length of warranty became even more important so I did not purchase back in September when I first posted.
Not sure why anyone would want to buy second hand 3 months before use!0 -

This is your thread. You asked three months before use and you were made aware on the very first day, as to what your money could buy.
New or second hand it makes no difference. Why would you think that it does? Second hand can also have a one year warranty.
I just bought a second hand laptop and have no idea as to when I will begin to use it. It was at a good price.
This is not Google. Real people take their time to help you with searches. So you should be careful as to how you treat the real people, who are helping you out the kindness of their hearts.
I'm not saying that you cannot ask more than once on the same thread. The problem is that, you left no feedback at all for the first two times you asked(once via PM) and then came back for a third time.
It appears, rather impolite.
It you don't see what I write as constructive then perhaps you should think about it a little longer.
I'm not the only one who have pointed it out to you and they did not even know that you PM'd me asking for me to search you something out again.
You can read the reviews concerning the EG monitor.

Product description
Use the MSI Codex 3 8RB-200EU to play your favorite games at high settings. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti on board makes sure you can play Fortnite or Overwatch at over 60 frames per second. If you install your games on the 128GB SSD, they'll start up in seconds. That means you won't have to wait long for the next multiplayer map. Store all your movies, music, and other files on the 1TB hard drive on this MSI. When the MSI is on, it lights up in a red color, so you'll even see it in low light.

I just bought a second hand laptop and have no idea as to when I will begin to use it. It was at a good price.
All the items I saw had 3 months warranty. Simply not buying something that will sit in a box for 3 months unless someone really does point out it is an unbelievable deal. No one did... Everything posted I looked at and thanked.

Couldn't agree more that's why I said thank you and left Thanks

I did ask about the SSD Drive

I've thought about it... and there is no need for the comments you made. What I find strange is that you have been helpful, been thanked for it, but seem to be put out that I have not bought yet
I'm not the only one who have pointed it out to you and they did not even know that you PM'd me asking for me to search you something out again.
How many times do you wish to be thanked! I did drop you a PM as you had helped before. Didn't think there was anything wrong with that.

That's great but you had said earlier the price for 144hz model was 'long gone' so I wanted to know if there was a catch here. Reading the review doesn't seem to be

Up your budget to £1000. I can find you a good gaming PC with 3 years warranty!
End of story.
We can only recommend what we think is the best suitable for your budget available at the time you ask.
If you don't like it, don't buy it.
It is your money, you take the decision what to buy.0
