Advising insurance of SP30
Just had an S172 asking me to name driver so assume an SP30 will be forthcoming. Checked my insurance policy (Admiral Group)and can't see anything in there re advising them of this during the course of the policy. Have I missed something or do I just have to advise at renewal ?

They want to know at renewal.

Do a speed awareness course and you dont normally even have to tell them at all.0

Actually the Admiral Group did want to know about speed awareness courses, this might have changed recently. Since the OP hasn't said what the speed/limit is, a SAC might not even be possible.0

You do with the Admiral group.Penalty points
If you or any named drivers receive a fixed penalty, motoring conviction or are disqualified during your policy term you must tell your insurer at renewal, using the DVLA conviction code. You must also declare attending any driver awareness courses. You don't need to mention parking fines.

The speed was ok for an SAC (71 in a 60) - the fact I'd done one last year rules it out
