On the actual site it does look a lovely blue colour, but you can always add a bit of white to it to take some of the blueness away, or even if you have any cream lying around.:D

I agree with you here...when you buy loads of wee pots before you know it you've spend the same as a full pot of paint...I love the colour and I think it will look awesome!...

Can you try a wee bit in your bedroom and if you don't like it can it not go in your bathroom? Nice colour for there??????

Good luck anyway..I take ages choosing and at the end of the day I only buy the big pots and go for it!!:D

Thank you for your positive advice i really appreciate it :) ,I'm going to use it and see how it goes, i got some wallpaper as a wall feature and ill paint the rest of the walls , I've asked a couple of womens advice and they all said they like it , just hope it works once its complete.

Yup takes me ages also , just couldnt find the colours i wanted in cheaper ranges , must of been in the DIY store for hours trying to make up my mind and that was my 4th trip went on my own this time ,did ask peoples advice in the store but think they would agree with me even if i had the colour bright pink
  • I've read this three times and still quite don't understand but.... Paint a bit of it on the wall. Look at it. Look at it again during daylight (sunny and cloudy). Look at it again in artificial light. Do you like it? Leave it a few days. Do you still like it? If so, paint the room. If you are not sure, start again with another colour. If you feel you need advice from other people to decide - it's the wrong colour!
  • browns would go really nice with that colour I think...or is that me being mad?LOL
You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
    You just keep on walking

Bear in mind that the appearance of any coloured paint is different, depending on the background. The sample cards are a classic example - they show the colour against a white background. But in practice, you wouldn't be putting the paint against a white background.

The appearance of the paint will be influenced by the wallpaper. I would get samples of wallpaper and stick them up next to the paint - leave them there for a week or two and see which one looks best.

Oh! I am the queen of the paint stripes on the walls due to indecision, I am the laughing stock with my friends and husband. The thing is, when you see a small sample on a wall especially if the wall is white, it makes the colour look harsh. Once you have painted and get all your pictures up and furniture back and curtains up it softens the effect and usually looks fine. If you like the colour, that's all that matters.

We just discovered that the cheapest place for Dulux matchpots is our local Tesco...86p. Compared to 98p B&Q and even more expensive at homebase.

if you buy a tester pot for a dulux centre (£2.98) you get the money refunded off the paint you buy, making them free
