Er ... did you not see the colour?
What did you do, buy it online from a text only website?

    Turquoise IS blue.

Looking at your link. Yes that is blue. Yes that is turquoise.

Bottom line is: do you like that colour? End of story.
  • When you get the tin of paint... open it... if you think "thats lovely" slap it on your walls... if you think "yuk" then send it back... simple eh!? You can never really tell from the paint swatch on the tin or off a card, or off a website; I always open the paint tin in store to have a proper look!!! :D

    It dries differently too.

I tend to go for 8 matchpots. Then number each one and paint a stripe on each wall in a room and see how they all look when they're dry. Even the same paint can be different on every wall due to the light hitting it from the window.
  • Thats why companies do sample pots!!! ;)

While, formally, turquoise the stone will have green tones - when it comes to things like paint it can go either way. And a name is pretty randomly picked by paint companies because they have to have a name. So I wouldn't get hung up about the name they used.

They always will. All paints will dry differently. The picture on the tin is produced from a printing machine. The paint is a liquid. Then, when you put it on the wall, the paint can have a multitude of undercoat colours (maybe you put white undercoat on, or red, or another colour, or simply painted over the existing paint). Then there is the "light in the room" issue, making every wall different anyway.

Paint being different from the picture on the tin is: guaranteed.

Well, you could just buy 2-3 to try.
But if you're that poor, you'd be doing what I did the other year: buy the cheapest white paint and be done with it :)

Not these posh Crown numbers, with their fancy marketing ... and price tag
  • Personal opinion as to it looking good in a bedroom... no! Think it might turn out looking like a hospital or a bathroom... unless it is used very cleverly as a feature wall colour... can't really be more helpful as I don't know what the room looks like!! :D

I agree with you here...when you buy loads of wee pots before you know it you've spend the same as a full pot of paint...I love the colour and I think it will look awesome!...

Can you try a wee bit in your bedroom and if you don't like it can it not go in your bathroom? Nice colour for there??????

Good luck anyway..I take ages choosing and at the end of the day I only buy the big pots and go for it!!:D
