Raining here as well, and it is very dark still.

Got up fed cat, got laptop and came back to bed! cat is now on the bottom of the bed as well.

    General stuff to do today.
Appointment at 11am to discuss my pension options, how have I nearly got to pension age ?? truly shocked as I still think I am mid 30's to early 40's and I want to stay that way, mainly caused by them moving the age.

  • Morning all,

Voice has completely gone, going to be fun teaching today! DH at home, no work, sorry but I hate Brexit it has really affected his work.

Moan over, he can do domestics, saves me money on childcare as well. X

ASB shouldn't you be off sick?

Heavy rain since the early hours. I’ve just booted DD out to get the bus, mainly because roadworks mean that the 20 minute journey is taking an hour so she might as well be sitting on a bus with all the other late school kids. I’m not sure how I raised a child who is so last minute when DH and I are the complete opposite.
So far this morning I have:
Put the rubbish out for collection
    Cleaned the kitchen bin
Cleaned the toaster - DH tested the smoke alarm by burning a slice this morning
    Loaded the wm
    Cleaned the downstairs toilet.

Kaz - in my head I am still 28. I can’t believe that I’m not long off my original pension age.

Back later. Have a lovely day all.

    *Healing vibes* ASB.

This is a bit saddo. I woke up realising I don't remember scrubbing the lower part of the tiles in the shower yesterday. Wretched Flying is haunting me. Off to scrub said tiles.
    Better is good enough.
  • Been to work this morning, done the shopping on the way home. Quick break at home then back into work this afternoon and evening. New groups starting so always a bit more difficult when you don't actually know all the people in the groups. I've got a small but lively group of mainly boys tonight and then a conversation group of almost completely unknown adults, so will be getting out the icebreaker board games with them I think.

Flying today has consisted of s/s bathroom and put a load of washing in. Dinner sorted for today and tomorrow. Must try harder!

ASB, I share the same feelings about B***** as you, just live it from the other side of the water.

Have a good day everyone, despite the much needed rain.

Stopped to have a quick cuppa while the kitchen floor dries.

Bathroom and en-suite cleaned. Wm x3 run, now need to figure out where to drape it all.
Kitchen surfaces cleaned and floor finally mopped. WULTD and a lamb tagine is in the sc for dinner. DD has signed up to start a French conversation class tonight, so what with taxiing her there and back, plus DH getting ready to go away with work for the rest of the week, it might be dinner in shifts. I admire her for wanting to do the course but it is one more thing to add to my list.

Right, coffee slurped. I need to kick myself into doing something from today’s list.

Hello all. Hope you're all ok, you seem really busy.

I managed a quick walk with the dogs before the rain and DH and I have done a big shop.

Hope your tiles are clean now HB.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • I’m finding it very cathartic to finish the day by listing out what I’ve achieved - it’s very positive realising what I have done, rather than getting stuck on what I haven’t.

So, today, toilets bleached, mirrors cleaned, impromptu sheet wash as the kitten weed on them - needed doing anyway, so let’s look at the positives - said kitten taken to the vets for second set of injections (after I’d spent half an hour coaxing her back inside after she escaped!), and am now delivering the village news that I do once a quarter. It’s nice to get out of the house & I get a good nosey st the posh part of the village!

Yep I probably should have been. Fortunately my sixth formers were understanding, and worked beautifully for me. Less so the Year 7s they were giddy kippers with a teacher with no voice :rotfl:

Dinner eaten, PJs on, 10,00000000 tissues used, nose red raw and voice non existent. And it's still raining! X
