That would be a debit card transaction. Strange they are using that to verify bank accounts, when a faster payment is received immediately, it cost them less I suppose. Perhaps this is what they do when they have a debit card on file for the bank account you are adding. I usually add only the bank account, not the debit card.They took £1 out a day or so after I authorised it and it appears as 'DEB', where DDs appear as DD. The reference on my statement is "PP*xxxxCODE. Type DEB. Money Out (£)1.00." It was returned 3 or 4 days later, with exactly the same references, but the quid was in the plus column, not the money out column.0 -
I have received an apology from PayPal, it seems it was a systems issue0
