Where to buy mobile?
I've been learning to use a smartphone with a hand-me-down phone that has become increasingly erratic.
So I've decided to buy my first mobile phone.
The Moto G7 Power has had good reviews and so I was thinking of buying it.
However, after searching this site, I couldn't see any recommendations on where to buy a mobile;
would I have to break my fear of buying items online, or is there somewhere on the High Street where I could buy the phone at a good price?

5000 mins 500mb data

Carphone Warehouse sell this phone with a £10 O2 sim for £150, and the phone should be unlocked, but it is worth getting confirmation if you are currently not on O2 and do not wish to switch to O2 (which happens to be the cheapest, with Three, for Pay As You Go).The Moto G7 Power has had good reviews and so I was thinking of buying it.

Thanks for the responses.
I'm on PlusNet, and paying about £6.50 for more minutes, texts, and data than I've ever used.
What would be the best place for buying the phone outright, and staying with PlusNet?0 -

Depends how you define "best" John Lewis for service & guarantee, does click & collect wt W8rose if none local
If you can overcome online buying it has advantage of legal 14 days cooling off, unlike walking in a shop & buying it
Buy online from say Argos if uncertain about unknown suplliersNumerus non sum0 -

I didn't know that buying online gave you more rights.
I looked on the John Lewis website, and Click and Collect was free, whereas Collect was $3.50 - is this the extra cost of not buying online.0 -
As per post 14
Car Phone Warehouse sell it unlocked at £139.99
But you must spend £10 on a PAYGO Sim (probably o2) which you discard and put your Plusnet Sim in
So the cost to you is £149.99
Argos £160 collect in store

I went to Car Phone Warehouse as they were the closest.
They no longer have the deal mentioned.0 -

JL £3.50 is for Collect Plus not a charge for collecting from JL .
Amazon has loads of reviews .

My personal buying choice would be JL .0 -
We have purchased SIM free phones (and two laptops) from Morgan Computing in the last two or three years. Pre-used but in brilliant condition. Have had no problems whatsoever with either the equipment or Morgan themselves. They are an online company, but don't let that worry you. They are decent people at the other end of the computer - polite and helpful if you need to ring them.
Couple that with a SIM-only contract with 3 bought through Top Cashback (example £70 cashback on a £9 per month plan for unlimited minutes and texts and 8GB of data) and you've done well for your money! This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
