Does anybody know if there are any more price hikes expected? I run a business and electricity prices are eating up most of my money.

With the ever rising price of oil, I think it is inevitable that this will feed through to gas and electricity prices.
I supposed this 10% hike story is being leaked to prepare us for the bad news.0 -
Apparently so

Wholesale power prices are expected to peak in Dec/Jan and then more or less stabilise.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Worth noting that gas prices are linked to the following year, but you never see a discount based on falling gas prices - do you. So, I would expect further increases.
As a business I take it you are locked in? Be careful around the time when you contract is due to end because they are rolling and you may find your units prices jump a lot if you don't opt out or change to a better one.

You're right to be concerned, many businesses out there are. As you know, electricity wholesale prices are extremely unpredictable. Winter always causes awareness of price increases due to weather conditions and security of supply from national grid.
There are a number of things you can do to help save your business hundreds, if not more. Firstly, electricity4businesses 'Even 12 budget plan' ensures that you bills stay equal throughout the course of the year. Meaning that you'll have greater control of your businesses cash-flow.
Failing that, shop around for the best deal on your electricity - don't be afraid to shop around for the best tariff out there to suit your business.
The best advice long-term to make the most consistent savings would be to be clever with the way your business uses its electricity. You don't have to spend thousands on energy efficient equipment, just be smart about the way you use the electricity your business pays for. Remember use less - pay less, simple as that!
