How much information should I be leaving here? I'm weary that maybe giving too much detail would allow linking of this to me as an individual. I can PM you if that helps?

Contact the landowner and ask them to intervene and get this cancelled for you. Presumably you'll have some receipt for using the charging point? Send a copy of that to the landowner.

How do I find out who owns the land? There are a number of big retail stores surrounding the car park which is shared for all the stores. The only receipt I have for the charging session is an entry within the online account for the charge bay network provider. I've got a screenshot of it which shows the start and end times (matches how long the car was at the car park for).

Many apologies, I mis-took your quoting of that post as a flippant reply. That's my fault, sorry.

The easy way to start is to contact the EV network. I have an EV and some networks, such as POLAR, POD POINT etc have deals with the landowner whereby vehicles charging are free from parking charges. You need to find out from them what the deal is and they may also give you the name of the landowner.

One car park that has come up on this forum a number of times is the car park at Willen run by Napier. They have 2 rapid chargers that you do not have to buy a parking ticket for, but there are other car parks where charging attracts a parking fee as well.

So, get the info from the charging network - preferably in writing - and that could be your escape.

If they are so inclined, then it wouldnt take much if anything for the parking company to figure out who you are.
The key thing at all times is never give away clues as to who the driver may have been on that day

If you dotn know who the landowner is, then a location of the car park can help, by searching the location and adding a for example issues at West thurrock retail park, ( used as an example only) a search phrased as follows: West Thurrock Retail park+units to let brings up a page listing amongst other things the site owners, google search from there and so on

Some locations are hot spots/known trouble spots and as such good hunting ground for PPCs, and you are not the first person to be stung like this whilst charging an EV.
With the increase in Electric vehicles, and the increase in charging points/locations within car parks then the issue of vehicle required 4 hours to charge, PPC says max parking time 90 minutes will become increasingly common.

received yet another LBC which states "when ParkingEye rejected your appeal, I was given 28 days to complain to POPLA". However, I never received any notification of the result from my ParkingEye appeal nor did I receive a POPLA code.
Email P/Eye (using the email addy I already gave you in that earlier reply on the other thread) asking forL

    (a) a fresh POPLA code, and in the alternative:

    (b) tell P/Eye as well, with proof attached, that the vehicle was not parked, but was using a charging point and that you know they have discontinued similar cases after court claims were issued. So rather than reissue a POPLA code, you believe they need to revisit the facts and act quickly to resolve this dispute that they cannot possibly win, and drop this one before they waste time & money on it.

Here's another one like yours where they took a person almost to a hearing then dropped out when they looked at the facts a bit better:

Thank you for this. I have already emailed ParkingEye to ask for a fresh POPLA code, I haven't heard back yet though. Should I do the suggestion B as well even though I haven't heard back about A?

    TIA

Suggestion B may get you a better result than option A, so yes, do as C-m has suggested.
