Can you move back in? You're perfectly entitled to do so as a joint owner.0

After 19 years there just wasn’t any love in the relationship. I tried to carry on for the next 3 years but was suffering from depression existing in a relationship I didn’t want to be in so I moved out . She wasn’t very happy about this and has tried to make my life hell . There was no abuse or violence just everything turns into arguments. I’ve been denied access to the property for the last 3 years. If I go to the property it results in arguments and the police always remove one party to prevent any breach of peace, that’s always me as she’s the one in the property.
So I just keep away moving in or trying to would cause hell😂😂0 -
You say that you are not entitled to benefits but have you checked with an adviser at CAB?
Have you been job searching but not getting interviews?
Is there no friend or relation who could offer a room on a temporary basis?
The house is still yours - move back in until you can force a sale?

I’ve been told by community law benefits drop in that I’m not entitled to universal credit as I’ve equity in a property I don’t live in and because I haven’t paid class 1 national insurance I’m not entitled to JSA (I’ve been self employed for the last 8 years paying class 2 and 40

I’ve been denied access to the property for the last 3 years.
I doubt that this is legal.
Have you any prospect of employment, even part time or temporary?
Ask at your local law centre if there is a local firm that would help with getting order for sale and taking a fee once the property is sold?0 -
Have you spoken with Shelter?0

I'm surprised that the shelter is prepared to give you bed space, without doing everything they can, to get you housed, either in your own property, or in rented accomodation.
Check out any support and advice in

Who is your local MP? You could go to see them at a surgery and explain your predicament if they’re a decent one who will try to help.0

It's worth contacting Emmaus (a homelessness charity specialising in getting people back on their feet again long term, rather than offering minimal overnight shelter) to see if they are able to help you.
Their contact details (phone, email) are at:

I got told by community law and the job centre to find a solicitor that would take their fees after the sale but all the searching and emailing solicitors I’m yet to find one , even if the fee was double I don’t care as long as I can move on with my life . I’m applying for jobs everyday as I don’t fancy staying in the homeless shelter over Christmas.
I’m gonna phone Shelter today to see what advice they can give me . Thanks everyone0
