Falmouth PCN

My wife recently received a PCN for allegedly overstaying in the Maritime Car Park but we paid for 2 hours and I am sure that the signs said an hour extra free was granted for holders of a displayed blue badge. We didnt think it would be necessary so didnt photograph the sign. She has now received a PCN which is timed within the 3 hours. We have appealed the PCN and awaitin g the outcome.

Is there anybody who lives in Falmouth, as opposed to us in Sussex, who could if needed photograph the sign for me and send it to my phone. Many thanks.

    Who issued the parking charge?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If you search the forum for Falmouth, I am sure someone took a lot of photos a couple of months ago and put them on their thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Thank you for that but can you be a little more speciifc as to the thread as i entered Falmouth in a search and it came up with about 100 threads and one specifically about Maritime Car Park but not relevant to this.request.

You need to search and change the default to show results as posts. That will show you specific posts without having to click o every one.

  • I have tried that but had no success in finding any photos, but then I am not very good at that sort of thing.

I found the photos of the signs but am unable to see any reference to a yellow button which Premier say I should have pressed before inserting any money.

I have been advised to ignore this until I receive a notice prior to court, Is this sound advice?

    Doesn't seem right to me

    The correct timeline is

    Ntk issued to Keeper

    Keeper appeals

Appeal is refused and a popla code provided

Take it to popla with a popla appeal

Claimant provides popla with an evidence pack , this is where you check the signs and payment machine info , photos etc

Appellant submits a rebuttal to popla

Await the popla outcome and decision

Court is a long way off at this early stage

This timeline has been in force for 7 years , so not new
  • I believe the car park is owned by the Maritine Museum a number of people have contacted the Museum and asked them to get the PCN cancelled
I would hope the Museum would look at your request favourably especially as you were blue badge holders. I hope you still have proof that you paid for two hours. I would also contact your MP and see if he will offer any support.
    Good luck.
