Affordable removal companies in south London?

  • Yes I feel like that is about the "affordable" average now. Most firms in London charging £4000+ is ridiculous.

It's been a long time since I moved house (well, 20 years) and I don't know much about removals around London!!! However when we moved we shared a load on a removal van returning from another job which was going in our direction.

I can't remember what they call it - return load, part load, back load, something like that. If you haven't got a full pantechnicon's worth it might be worth asking the removal companies if they can do that. Saved us quite a bit of money.

I used Kiwi Movers 4 years ago to move around 4 miles in South London. I moved from a first floor 3 bed flat to a 3 bed house.

Day 1: they came a packed 90% of the flat up, leaving me with just what I needed for the night.

Day 2: came and dismantled the beds and packed the vans, transported to the new house and unloaded into the various rooms. Re-built the beds. I did the unpacking myself.

They worked on a hourly rate but gave me a good estimate of what they thought it would be. It actually came in slightly under their estimate in the end, which was great.

The guys were super helpful and took a lot of care with my possessions. I would not hesitate to use them again.
