Parking Charge Notice from Parking Ticketing Ltd

I parked my car outside a row of companies in an industrial estate area and came back to find I had a Parking Charge Notice from a company called Parking Ticketing Ltd. It says that I have 'No Permit' to park there, which is probably true. Its asking me to pay £100 within 28 days or £60 in 14 days. It states at the bottom, 'all payments to the address on reverse' but the reverse is completely blank. No address, no telephone number and no website. Should I just ignore it?

Yes, but if there is absolutely no contact or payment address details on it, how am I supposed to pay it and if they come looking for payment is it a good enough excuse?

No-one on here will advise you to pay it is a con. Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Don't worry. They will write to the registered keeper of the vehicle after twenty-eight days. The RK will then appeal as described in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread. Ralph-y has already given you a link to that thread.

Here it is. Its all that was in the plastic envelope that was stuck on my windscreen. The top of the notice is perforated so it was torn off another part. Whether this other part was the reverse with the address details on it, I don't know, but the other side of the notice is totally blank so maybe he tore it off by accident. But that's not my fault

you appear to be expecting PPC's to behave like reputable companies .. they are not

this is what MP's think of them

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.

Legislation has been passed and may .... may be implemented soon ...

    please do as suggested

So a company has limited parking space for it's own vehicles and you selfishly park in one of their spaces ? You disrupt their business, probably block them from loading and you are the one complaining ? How would you like it if they came and parked on your drive ? They don't want your 100 quid, they just want you to not park on their business premises, the charge is a deterrent. You saw the signs, you knew the risks and you knew the cost.
