anyone ???????? should i be getting charged 30 pound0

in theory no, but as all bank charges reclaims are on hold until the test case, banks are doing what they like when they like.
I encountered that problem when I had my woolwich closed changed to barclays, may be worth giving them a ring and say you werent aware of the change and as a goodwill gesture would they refund you.
If not - then you have to go through the bank charges reclaim saga asking for yor money back - to which your recieve a letter quoting the test case.
I personally would get my letter in now, if the test case is found in favour of the consumer the floodgates are going to open, and this way at least your at the front of the queue.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
how do i do that?

Please visit the subforum here called "Reclaim Your Bank and Credit Card Charges" as that is the place to find all the information that you need. You should also read Martins' article here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges
That should help you.
And please try and write using proper grammar & sentences as it would make your posts much easier to read and therefore people will be more likely to spend the time reading your post and helping you (I found I had to read your first post at least three times before I understood it).0 -
If your agreed overdraft is £5 then everytime you go over this they will charge you the £30 as its then an unauthorised overdraft.
If you constantly go over it then ask them if they will increase it.0 -
can i claim the charges back?0

Please help!?!?
I have submitted my Bank Charges Reclaim letter to the Royal Bank of Scotland on the 15th June 2007. I believe this was over a month prior to the Test Case was announced. But I am yet to hear back from the bank. Not even a response. I sent another letter last week to this effect and advised that they had 7 days to respond otherwise I would take Court action.
What options do I have if they do not respond? Due to my request being before the test case was announced, do I have a right to continue my claim or will I have to wait until the Test Case is finalised?
I feel as though the Bank charges have had a major affect on my current financial situation which is, in all honesty, not good. I would go as far as saying I have experienced severe Financial hardship due to the ridiculous sums they have debited from my account, some £6000 over a 6 year period!
I would really appreciate any advice you can offer?0 -
Spencer260381 and silkysmooth69 you would be better to ask the question in the bank charges forum:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=102
as you are more likely to get an answer.0
