Only one throwing abuse is you mate.
Call me a shill again and it'll be reported. I do not like being called a liar. Tried helping you. Advising. Explaining. Now I give up cos you don't want to listen and only seem to be here to spout your 'opinions' to which nobody can comment on unless they agree with you. Which leads me to agree that you're just trolling.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Sorry, can't see any help, only insults and abuse, so I'm ignoring you now. But I'm very happy to discover there are so few cash buyers in the market. I'm in a very rare and fortunate position. There are cash buyers, my inlaws sold 18 months or so ago (i have made posts for nearly 3 years about their sale process so no i am not lying) and they have been in rented ever since. They have over £400k sat in the bank.
Their thinking is simple, they need somewhere to live for another 20 years (hopefully), they want it in a specific town and with a few must haves which include quiet location, a view and little maintenance. That property came on the market in June so they are buying it because there are literally only 5-10 possible properties in the entire town of 5000 people that meet those criteria. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

Only if you ever actually buy a property. At the moment you're just pretending that you're a cash buyer and insulting people who don't agree with you to get your kicks.I'm in a very rare and fortunate position.0 -

Sounds like your in-laws have bought a rarely available needle in a haystack! Perhaps their cash buyer status helped them get what sounds like one of the best properties in town, and their waiting paid off. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I am still confused, you make out you are a property expect understand the market, stats and can predict it all , you are not gullible and misguided but you paid £2500 to a property agent to buy you a house BMV.
I'm confused Expert or Naïve dilutional First time buyer (I use the term FTB losely as history tells me you will chase a market down to the bottom and back up and never buy).0 -

Oh i am so glad you agree that not all buyers should wait for the long awaited house price crash and they should indeed look at securing a home to live in.
Being a cash buyer helped them but mainly because the seller had a timescale to get the property sold so they could buy a new build, they want a certain plot and needed someone to buy their property on their timescales. They had lots of solid interest from people needing to sell and my in laws being in rented helped on this occasion. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

They were targeting 10 or so particular properties, and they achieved their aim of acquiring one of them. Their wait paid dividends. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
But waiting any longer would have been counter productive, so against your argument of continuing to wait until prices fall further.
Are tom9980's in-laws 'government shills' as well because prices were still falling?0
