Is your computer set to American? In the control panel you can change it from American to English and you should get your £ back.

Sorry I can't be more specific but a techie will be along shortly to help you.
Just run, run and keep on running!

  • go to the control panel and keyboards and mouse settings . change from american to british keyboard HTH.

I had thi9s problem and someone on here answered it for me (sorry I can't remember who!). My keyboard is on the English setting and I still couldn't get the pound sign. I now hold down "alt" while I type in the numbers 156 on the number pad at the right hand side. That is the only way I can get a £ sign! Hope that helps.

The problem is even when you install xp with english keyboard, the bloddy misrcosoft insist that good old UsA is at the default you have to select English and remove teh amercian one.
